This is an update to our earlier story Bank Robbed on Winchester Road regarding the robbery of the North Alabama Bank on January 10, 2008.
Antonio Lawshawn Drake, 21, was arrested on January 10th after allegedly holding up North Alabama Bank on Winchester Road at gunpoint. Yesterday, Drake was indicted on bank robbery charges in U.S. District Court.
Drake is alleged to have walked into the North Alabama Bank a 1590 Winchester Road on January 10th and demanded money at gunpoint. Approximately $9,000 was stolen in the robbery and then scattered across the parking lot and down the road as he made his get-away.
If convicted Drake faces up to 25 years in prison.
